TYROS STUDIO is a director-led production label based in Zurich, founded by filmmaker Fabian Keller.
It serves as a framework for his own projects as well as collaborations with other filmmakers.
Film, design, visual effects, music and occasional detours into coding a game called Duck-Pong have shaped my multidisciplinary art practice rooted in filmmaking.
While completing my BA in Art Education and MA in Film, I began working as an independent filmmaker. My work is driven by a desire to translate observation and sensory experience into sound and moving images, with a strong interest in social cohesion and human relationships.
As a cinematographer, I have recently worked on Tirando piedras a la luna (Lucerne), A Work of Fiction (Mumbai) and Kleine Männer for SRF. After Tangerines, filmed in a Chinese Village, is my first short documentary.
I contribute to film productions with VFX and compositing, most recently on Norma Dorma, a Zurich-based feature drama by Lorenz Suter.
Together with my artistic practice, I teach in the Bachelor Art Education programme at the Zurich University of the Arts, focusing on media practice, film and collaborative project-based work.
